Spiritual Battles

 I know something that has really helped me is to speak positive words of life over myself out loud. You see, when we speak something out loud, especially if we speak God's word, we are declaring it. If I say, "I am not very smart", my brain will hear that and who would I ever believe more than myself? But if I say, "I have been given the mind of Christ!", I will also believe that! Our thinking can really change our lives.

When we speak something it activates Spiritual things. The Bible says that what we bind on earth is bound in Heaven and what we loose on earth is loosed in Heaven." I only recently understood this. If I say, "I will never get out of debt!" it is like tying God's hands. He may want to bless me and help me to get free of my financial burden but if I don't agree with Him in faith, he won't do it because He has given us a free will and authority over our own lives. But if I speak Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future", then my intercessor, Jesus Christ, speaks that over my life from His seat at the right hand of God and HIS words created the universe! I hope you see what I mean and it encourages you to have faith that God is close to you and He has a great plan for your life.
